Debate about-should wild animals be kept as pets

Today in successful7 we have been doing a debate about whether or not we should keep wild animals as pets.  So far not to have them is winning but the tide of debate could change.  If you would like to contribute to the argument please leave a comment right here at successful7, thanks Billy.

    Hi Successful 7

    As I walked back to my office I was thinking seriously about your question. In some ways I think how cute it would be to have a lion cub or something like that as a pet...not a snake tho...i hate snakes. Anyway, as much as it would be nice to cuddle I really think that wild animals are meant to be in the wild where the can roam and run and hunt and fight, which is all part of them growing up. I gringe when I think of poor dolphins kept in
    those tiny tanks and having to perform on cue all the time. So, unless they have been hurt and require human assistance to survive, I believe that wild animals should not be kept as pets.

    hmm interesting comments, I think that animals should be free to come and go in their own environments as they please and they should not be owned as pets.

    I like the idea of the animals as good protectors though Isiah and Lochie :)

    My mum said NO because when they are a little cub they are fine but when they get older they can harm people and can do the same to you so the best idea is to not have them as pets.

    i think wild pets should be kept as domestic (house) pets because if you wanted a pet possum you couldn't just walk in to a pet shop and ask for one.also i think they shouldn't be contained because then they would forget there natural habitat,which is like takingg a new zealand baby from its house and dropping it in australia

    I think it would be a horrible idea because if you feed them they could eat the meat then you! and they could break out of their cages and harm other people.and if you don't keep them in a cage they could ruin all of your furniture and break your belongings!!

    so in conclusion it is a definite NO

    I think we should be allowed to keep wild animals as pets because they can keep burglers away. to find out who did this answer this riddle. I have short blond straight hair blue eyes and tan skin. I am also a boy.who am I. :) :D :>

    i think we should be able to keep wild animals as pets because other wise they will just get killed and we can train them not to do bad things like eat eggs and tree bark
