Successful 7's car wash

In Room 7 we have been learning that other people are not as lucky as us.

Room 7 are doing a car wash

WHEN: Friday 17 June

WHERE: Ashhurst school car park

WHO: Room 7

COST: $5.00 outside wash
            $5.00 inside vacuum
            $8.00 for both

WHY: To raise money to make wells that bring life giving water to Ethiopia instead of the disgusting dirty guinea worm parasite infected water that they have now.

If you donate to other countries with hardly any clean water it will make a huge difference. People will be able to live longer and enjoy there life. If people don't have enough water they will get diseases like the guinea worm. The guinea worm is a disease that is very painful and can take up to months to get rid of them with a stick. People in other countries like kenya and ethiopia have about 15 to 48 liters of water a day when we have 741 liters. So why don't you help a big difference, remember every bit of money helps.

  1. Wow great job with trying to help out others that are not as lucky as us. Many children at Ashhurst School did the 40 hour famine to raise money for less-fortunate people in East Timor. My car is FILTHY inside and out! I would love a car wash & vacuum. What time will the car wash take place? Remember to turn the hose off when you don't need it- we don't want to waste any water.
    Just another question...
Is the guinea worm related to the guinea pig in anyway?

Our car wash is going to be at 1.00 till 2.40 in the Ashhurst School car park by the office.
Miss Walker Guinea worms and Guinea pigs are not related at all. One is small and cuddly the other one causes great pain!
How much money did Ashhurst School raise in the 40 hour famine?
